Ariel Anderson

Ariel Anderson is Professor of Human Development and Early Childhood Education at Western Michigan University. She holds a PhD and MA from Michigan State University, and an AbEd from the University of Michigan.

Her research spans developmental psychology and educational practices, with publications examining:

• Teacher attitudes and goal orientations
• Child development and reality perception
• Classroom socialization processes
• Assessment methodologies

Early work investigated affective dimensions of mathematics learning, discipline approaches, and video assessment techniques. Recent publications focus on educational partnerships and program development.
