Arianna Vedaschi is Full Professor of Comparative Public Law at Bocconi University's Department of Legal Studies. She coordinates the Research Group on Constitutional Responses to Terrorism for the International Association of Constitutional Law and serves as Secretary-General of the Italian Association of Comparative and European Public Law.
Research interests include:
- Constitutional responses to terrorism and emergencies
- Privacy-security tensions in data regulation
- AI governance and human rights protection
- Pandemic legal frameworks
Publications analyze counter-terrorism measures, emergency powers during health crises, and data privacy regulations. Recent work examines democratic resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic and national security tools in counter-terrorism.
Leadership: Serves on scientific boards including Fondazione Med-Or and Comparative Covid Law. Appointed General Rapporteur for the 2022 International Academy of Comparative Law Congress on pandemic policy limitations of fundamental freedoms.
