Ariana Huberman

Ariana Huberman is a Professor of Spanish at Haverford University. Her research focuses on Latin American Jewish literature and culture, with particular interest in Cultural Translation, Immigration and Diaspora, Identity and Nation, and Travel Narrative in Latin American literature.

• Education: B.A. in English and French from Tufts University; Ph.D. in Spanish and Latin American Literature from New York University.

Her scholarly contributions include monographs such as Keeping the Mystery Alive: Jewish Mysticism in Latin American Cultural Production (2022) and Evolving Images (2018). Her work explores intersections of Jewish mysticism, diasporic identities, and intercultural dialogue in Latin America.

She teaches a range of courses from beginner Spanish to advanced topics like Magical Realism and Travel Writing in Latin America, emphasizing critical writing and cultural analysis.
