Ari Kaplan is a Part-time Professor at the University of Ottawa's Common Law Faculty, a pension and benefits lawyer, mediator, arbitrator, and principal of Kaplan Law, a dispute resolution firm in Toronto. He is currently a PhD candidate at Western Law, focusing on Law and Emotion.

Kaplan’s research interests include Law and Emotion, legal education reform, and wellness in legal professions. He designed Canada’s first law school course on Law and Emotions and authored the Toronto Method Mindfulness Handbook, accredited for professionalism and EDI by the Law Society of Ontario.
