Ari Joskowicz

Ari Joskowicz is an Associate Professor of Jewish Studies, European Studies, and History at Vanderbilt University and Director of the Max Kade Center for European and German Studies. His research focuses on modern Jewish and European history with particular attention to minority politics, secularism, and transnational interactions. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago (2008) and has held fellowships from institutions including the ACLS, DAAD, and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Spivak's seminal essay into German.

Professional Activities: Teaches courses like 'The Holocaust,' 'Religion and Politics in Modern Europe,' and 'Conspiracy Theories.' Serves on editorial boards for Leo Baeck Institute Yearbook and other journals. Holds visiting appointments at Hebrew University and Leipzig University.
