Archana V. Dhar, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in pediatric critical care with a focus on extracorporeal therapies. She serves as Medical Director of Transport and Inpatient Access Center at Children’s Health System, Dallas. Dr. Dhar joined UT Southwestern in 2008 and holds certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care.
Education: MBBS from B.J. Medical College (India), pediatrics residency at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and pediatric critical care fellowship at University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Research interests include fluid balance in critically ill children and timing of CRRT initiation. She co-directs the Cardiovascular Course for pre-clerkship students and previously led the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program. Adeducation, she is a Distinguished Teaching Professor and active in the Southwestern Academy of Teachers.
