Archana Pathak

Archana Pathak is an Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies. As a diasporic feminist scholar-activist, her work critically examines intersections of race, class, gender, sexuality, nationality, and scientific imperialism through a social justice lens.

Her research focuses on identity construction, oppression dismantling, and immigrant experiences. She co-authored the satirical theatrical work 'A Canary's Call: dismantling the 'master's house'' and delivered a TED Talk on immigration and race titled 'Embracing My Superpower: Living in the In-Between'.
