Aravind Parthasarathy

Aravind Parthasarathy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders at Carnegie Mellon University, with joint appointments in BioEngineering and Otolaryngology. His research focuses on the interaction between peripheral and central auditory systems in hearing loss, using EEG-like evoked potentials to bridge human clinical studies and animal models. This work aims to improve diagnostic tools and track therapeutic interventions in hearing-impaired populations.

Education: PhD in Biological Sciences and Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University (graduate training), followed by postdoctoral research in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
