Apryl Berney

Apryl Berney is a Lecturer at San Jose State University’s Department of Film, Theatre, and Dance within the College of Humanities and the Arts. Her scholarship bridges Girlhood Studies, Afro-Asian cultural analysis, and popular music criticism, with a focus on Black, Asian, and Blasian young women’s collaborative practices as forms of resistance and cultural sustenance.
