April Millet is an Associate Teaching Professor at Pennsylvania State University's College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, affiliated with the John A. Dutton Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence. With nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, she earned an M.Ed. in Instructional Systems from Penn State in 2006 and has held diverse roles across the university, including positions in Business Services, Information Technology Services, Student Affairs, and the College of Business. Since 2012, she has focused on partnering with faculty to design and develop courses for EMS students.
Her research interests center on enhancing educational practices through instructional strategies, hybrid teaching methodologies, and knowledge checks in online learning environments. She actively contributes to the field by presenting at conferences and publishing in book chapters and conference proceedings.
April serves on the Non Tenure Line Faculty Advisory Committee and has expertise in educational technology, faculty development, and creating residential, hybrid, and online courses. Her work supports Penn State's mission to innovate in teaching and learning experiences.
