April Fletcher

April Fletcher is an Instructor in the Curriculum and Instruction department at Eastern Illinois University (EIU), holding dual appointments in Teaching, Learning, and Foundations. Her roles include teaching courses such as Teaching and Learning with Technology in Classrooms and Content Area Reading in the Elementary, Middle, and Secondary School. She has been affiliated with EIU since at least 1992, following her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Elementary Education and Curriculum and Instruction from EIU and Indiana State University.

Her research focuses on integrating technology in reading instruction, non-fiction classroom practices, and math reading strategies.
