Aparna Dwivedi is an Instructor in the Department of English at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), within the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research and teaching focus on rhetoric and composition, multi-ethnic literature, and women’s studies, with a particular emphasis on postcolonial and feminist issues in literary works such as those by Anita Desai. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Delhi, specializing in British and American literature with a focus on postcolonial writings, and a second M.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, concentrating on women’s studies and postcolonial fiction.
