Anıl Soylu

Anıl Soylu is a Researcher at the Department of Mining Engineering, Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He holds a PhD in Mining Engineering from ITU and has been serving as a Research Assistant since 2016. His primary research focuses on ventilation systems in underground mines, occupational safety, coal geology, and gas content analysis. He has collaborated on projects addressing methane emissions in coal basins and spontaneous combustion phenomena in asphaltite and coal seams. His work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals related to affordable and clean energy, industry innovation, and climate action. Dr. Soylu has published extensively on topics such as gas content determination methods, coal seam analysis, and photocatalytic materials. He has participated in significant industry-funded projects, including investigations into coal seam gas content in Bey pazari Basin and Eskişehir Alpu Basin coal characteristics.
