About
Anusree Mandali is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lafayette College, joining as one of the newest faculty members in Fall 2024. She teaches ES 201: Systems II Lecture and Lab as part of her academic responsibilities.
Dr. Mandali's research focuses on the development and implementation of robust controllers and optimal/intelligent controllers for uncertain physical systems. Her work encompasses application-oriented electronically printed sensors with practical implementations in facility-level power systems, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) electrostatic actuators, and interdisciplinary systems including pneumatic actuators and soft actuators. Her research bridges theoretical control methodologies with real-world engineering applications across multiple physical domains.
As an educator with a family tradition in teaching (she is a third-generation teacher), Dr. Mandali emphasizes fundamental concept mastery as the foundation for student success. She employs diverse assessment methods including writing assignments, laboratory work, examinations, and projects to accommodate different learning styles and strengthen students' weaker areas. She is committed to creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages questions, discussions, and the development of critical thinking skills while connecting engineering concepts to real-world applications and future career relevance.
