Anushree Karkhanis

Anushree Karkhanis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Binghamton University, specializing in behavioral neuroscience and addiction studies. Her research investigates how chronic stress and early-life adversity impact neural substrates underlying comorbid affective and substance use disorders. She is affiliated with the Developmental Exposure Alcohol Research Center (DEARC) and the Center for Development and Behavioral Neuroscience (CDBN). Dr. Karkhanis holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Rutgers University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Wake Forest School of Medicine.
