Antony Hall

Dr Antony Hall is a Lecturer in Future Media Production at the School of Digital Arts, Manchester Metropolitan University. His practice spans multimedia art and research at the intersection of science and art, incorporating digital drawing, bio-art, sound art, and immersive installations.

• Member of artist collectives: Proximity, para-lab (science-art collaborations), and Owl Project
• PhD research (2021) focused on perception/illusion with experimental psychologists

Research explores:

• Interdisciplinary material experimentation
• Sensory perception in neurodiverse populations
• Climate change metaphors through temporal installations
• Bio-sound ecosystems integrating organic components

Recent works include the 2024 Minute to Midnight exhibition at Gallery Oldham and the 2025 Sonic Transformations performance. His 2020 study on unfeasible object embodiment remains influential in cognitive science.
