Professor Antonio Ramirez is a faculty member in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, where he joined in 2015. He serves as Director of the Manufacturing and Materials Joining Innovation Center (Ma2JIC), the largest NSF-sponsored Industry-University Cooperative Research center in the U.S. He teaches courses in welding metallurgy and additive manufacturing for the university's welding engineering program. Previously, he held leadership roles at Brazil's Synchrotron Light National Laboratory (LNLS) and Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano) from 2004–2015.

- Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) for aerospace/automotive applications
