Antonio Olivera-La Rosa

Antonio Olivera-La Rosa is a Senior Researcher (Minciencias, Colombia) and Professor at the Universidad Católica Luis Amigó in Medellín, Colombia. He holds a PhD in Cognition and Human Evolution, awarded with the 'Premio extraordinario del Doctorado' (2011-2012). His research focuses on implicit cognition, moral psychology, social perception, emotions, cyberpsychology, and decision-making. Notable projects include collaborations on the social evaluation of AI-generated deepfakes (with University of Sussex and Università di Torino), the Uncanny Valley and moral cognition (since 2018), and the impact of the pandemic on social perception (2020-2023). He has served as Principal Investigator (IP) on multiple projects exploring topics like sexist attitudes in Colombia, aesthetic preferences, and implicit attitudes toward violence in young offenders.

His academic contributions span over 50 publications, including studies on moral judgments influenced by sociosexuality, androgynous face bias, and the role of facial perception in culpability assessments.
