Prof. Antonino Filippone holds the Chair in Computational Aerodynamics at The University of Manchester's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department. His research focuses on rotor systems aerodynamics, aircraft noise, propulsion systems, and environmental emissions modeling. He leads a team developing high-fidelity computational methods for applications like engine intake protection systems and eVTOL vehicles. Prof. Filippone is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and author of three textbooks on flight performance.
