Antoni Riera Font is a Full Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). Born in Santa Margalida in 1969, he holds a Bachelor's Degree (1992) and PhD (1998) in Economics and Business Studies from UIB, with his doctoral thesis earning both the PhD Extraordinary Prize and the VII Catalonian Award in Economics. His work focuses on tourism economics and environmental economics, leading to the creation of the R+D+I research group 'Economic Analysis of Tourism Impacts' and participation in European, national, and regional projects.
