Professor Anton Andronic is a University Professor of Physics (W3) at the University of Münster, where he has served since 2018. He leads a research group within the Institute of Nuclear Physics, which is part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Previously, he worked as a research associate at GSI Darmstadt (2005-2018) and held an acting professorship at the University of Münster in 2011-2012. His research is centered around experimental heavy-ion physics, with significant contributions to major international collaborations.
Professor Andronic's research interests focus on particle production in nucleus-nucleus collisions and the QCD phase diagram. He is deeply involved in two major experimental projects: the ALICE experiment at the LHC (CERN) and the CBM experiment at FAIR.
