Anthony Samangy

Anthony Samangy is Professor and Graphic Design Area Co-Coordinator at the University of Akron's Mary Schiller Myers School of Art. Since 1996, his professional practice has specialized in interactive user experiences, motion graphics, and informational design for clients including Hewlett Packard, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and PBS. His academic research examines time-based interactive narrative in user experience design.

Creative works include:

• Award-winning short films and animations screened internationally
• Curatorial leadership for COLLIDER Exhibition Series exploring New Media

Honors include Telly Awards (2006, 2009) and selections for exhibitions at Tiburon International Film Festival, Melbourne Underground Film Festival, New York International Independent Film Festival, and Athens International Film Festival. He holds professional memberships in ACM, SIGGRAPH, and UCDA.
