Anthony Graham

Anthony Graham is a Professor of Developmental Biology at King's College London, affiliated with the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. He holds a PhD from University College London (1990) and a BSc from the University of Glasgow (1986). His research focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying vertebrate head development, particularly the interactions between neural crest cells, pharyngeal arches, and sensory placodes. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Anatomy and has edited multiple special issues on evolutionary developmental biology.

Key research themes include the evolutionary origins of pharyngeal segmentation, roles of endodermal-ectodermal interactions, and the developmental basis of congenital head malformations.
