Anthony Casey is an Associate Professor and Director of the Doctor of Intercultural Studies program at Grace College and Seminary. His work spans fifteen years of engagement with refugees, immigrants, and cross-cultural research across four continents. Previously, he served as a professor of anthropology at a university in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Casey holds dual degrees (M.Div. and Ph.D.) from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
His research focuses on diaspora missiology, urban church planting among immigrant communities, and ministry strategies for marginalized groups. He has authored two books and contributed to numerous book chapters and journal articles. Professionally, he serves as Vice President for Publications and on the executive board of the Evangelical Missiological Society.
Dr. Casey’s expertise bridges academic scholarship and practical ministry, with a focus on applying anthropological insights to missional contexts. His work emphasizes community research methodologies and strategic approaches to intercultural ministry.
