Anson Liaw

Anson Liaw is an Instructor in the Faculty of Design at OCAD University, Canada. A dual American-Canadian artist and educator, he specializes in illustration addressing social, political, and cultural issues. His work merges everyday objects and imagined scenarios to provoke critical thought and dialogue.

Education: Graduated from the Communication & Design Department’s Design Advertising Program at Ontario College of Art (now OCADU). Professional Recognition: Featured in Lürzer’s Archive and Alan Male’s Illustration: A Theoretical and Contextual Perspective. Clients include Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and The National Ballet of Canada.
