Anouk Borst

Professor Anouk Borst is affiliated with the KU Leuven Institute for Sustainable Metals and Minerals under the Division of Geology. Her research focuses on critical metal deposits, particularly lithium and rare earth elements (REE), across diverse geological settings including Africa, Greenland, and planetary analogues.

Recent Publications highlight her work on lithium-bearing minerals in LCT pegmatites, REE enrichment mechanisms in China and Greenland, and structural analysis of mineral systems in Central Africa. Her studies employ advanced techniques like spectral computed tomography and isotopic analysis to understand fluid evolution and metal transport.
