Prof. Dr. Annika Schlitte is a Professor of Aesthetics and Cultural Philosophy at the University of Greifswald, serving as Managing Director of the Institute of Philosophy. She holds a habilitation (2020) and previously served as a Junior Professor at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2016–2020) and as a research associate at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Her research focuses on cultural philosophy’s role in mediating scientific thought within cultural contexts, aesthetics’ intersection with art and perception, and interdisciplinary approaches to social coexistence. She coordinates the Käthe Kluth Junior Research Group and serves as President of the Georg Simmel Society (2024–present). She is co-editor of the Zeitschrift für Kulturphilosophie and the series Philosophische Untersuchungen.
