Annie Wei

Professor Annie Wei is Chair in International Business at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, where she also serves as Deputy Pro Dean (Research and Innovation). Her academic work focuses on foreign direct investment, international trade, economic development, and the Chinese economy.

Her research explores the determinants and impact of inward FDI in China and the internationalization of Chinese multinationals. She has published in leading journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Research Policy, Cambridge Journal of Economics, and World Development.

Analyzing her publication record, her scholarly output spans international business, economics, and development studies, with strong methodological grounding in econometrics and statistical analysis. Her work frequently bridges theory and policy, particularly in emerging markets context.

She has taught extensively across international business, economics, and quantitative methods at multiple universities globally.
