Annie Lau

Dr. Annie Lau is an Associate Professor (Research focused) at the Centre for Health Informatics, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University. She leads the Consumer Informatics research stream, focusing on digital health interventions and patient engagement. Her expertise includes consumer eHealth systems, patient work analysis, and telemedicine. She holds visiting fellowships at University College London and the University of Oxford.

Education: BE PhD from UNSW Sydney.

Research Interests: Digital health innovation, consumer informatics, patient behavior analysis, and health technology evaluation. Her work emphasizes leveraging computational methods and informatics to improve healthcare delivery, with notable contributions to telehealth transitions and patient-facing apps.
