Annette Robinson is a Senior Lecturer in Fine Art Drawing at Camberwell College of Arts, part of the University of the Arts London. She holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art/Sculpture from Gloucestershire College of Arts & Technology (1984), an MA in Fine Art/Sculpture from the Royal College of Art (1989), and a PGCert in Higher Education (2012) with Distinction. Her practice merges drawing, sculpture, performance, and animation into interdisciplinary installations, often site-responsive and emphasizing materiality and temporality.
Key projects include Going Nowhere and Building (2013), combining animation with physical structures, and All in a Spin (2014), an animated clay figure installation. She has exhibited widely, including at the Royal Festival Hall (London), Uppsala Art Museum (Sweden), and the International Print Biennial (Ljubljana). Residencies span Norway, Sweden, France, and the USA, including the British Council Sculpture Fellowship (2000) and Elsewhere Living Museum residency (2007). Awards include a UCN Research Award and recognition in Drawing Now: Between the Lines of Contemporary Art (2007).
Her teaching spans institutions such as the Royal College of Art, Wimbledon College of Art, and Grays School of Art. Research focuses on the intersection of drawing, sculpture, and performance, often involving audience interaction and site-specific interventions.
