Annette Jael Lehmann

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Annette Jael Lehmann is a Professor for Contemporary Art, Visual Culture, and Theater at the Department of Philosophy and Humanities, Freie Universität Berlin. She serves as Principal Investigator at the Einstein Center Digital Future (ECDF) and the Exzellenzcluster EXC 2020 "Temporal Communities – Doing Literature in a Global Perspective" and leads the Cultural and Media Management program at the Institute for Theater Studies.

• Research Interests: Visual Culture, Performance Studies, New Media Art, Digital Humanities, Gender Studies, and Practice-Based Research.
• Key Themes: Intersections of art, technology, and ecology; university-museum collaborations; gender performativity in media.
• Recent Publications: Focus on performance art methodologies, archival practices, and environmental art interventions.
