Annette Carruthers is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Art History, University of St Andrews. Her research focuses on the Arts and Crafts Movement in Scotland, British Design, and Museum Studies. She holds a BA from the University of Manchester and a Postgraduate Diploma in Museum and Gallery Studies.

- Awards: Fellow of the Museums Association, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland
Her work includes studies on Ernest Gimson, Robert Weir Schultz, and the Orkney Chair. She has organized international conferences and contributed to projects such as the Dictionary of Scottish Architects. She serves as an external examiner and mentor in museum studies, and was appointed Honorary Curator of Applied Arts in 1998.
