Anne Singleton

Anne Singleton is a Lecturer at the Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University (RGU), with a focus on Hospitality and Tourism Management, Food Science, and Education Innovation. She currently serves as Head of Year for International Hospitality and Tourism Management Stage 3, overseeing student development and curriculum design. Her research explores food provenance, regional impact of food production in Northeast Scotland, and pedagogical strategies in higher education.

• Education: BSc Nutrition and Dietetics (Robert Gordon University, 1987), PGCert Tertiary Level Teaching Methods (2003), PGCert Research Methods (2006), and ongoing PhD in Food and Drink Provenance (RGU, 2017–2024).
• Research Supervision: Supervised by Prof. Peter Reid and Dr. Pauline Bremner.

Her work integrates academic collaboration with local hospitality and tourism businesses to enhance student practical experience. Key research themes include interprofessional education, food safety standards, and sustainable food systems. She actively contributes to the Small Business & Enterprise Research Group and Transparent Ocean Research Group at RGU.
