Anne Reichold

Prof. Dr. Anne Reichold is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Flensburg, serving as Director of the Interdisciplinary Institute for Environmental, Social and Human Sciences and Managing Director of the Philosophical Seminar. She holds a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Paderborn (2002) and has held visiting positions at Northwestern University (2023), Boston College (2019-2020), and the New School for Social Research (2019). Her research focuses on moral and political dimensions of reactive attitudes (e.g., outrage), the philosophy of the person, normativity of the body, and analytical action theory.

Her academic journey includes roles as Junior Professor (2003-2010) and Research Assistantships at the University of Kaiserslautern (1997-2003). She earned a Master's degree in Philosophy, German Studies, and Slavic Studies from the University of Cologne (1997). Key research projects include the normative dimensions of outrage (2015-2020), Strawson's Oxford philosophy, and interdisciplinary work on sustainable energy (2010-2014).

Reichold is a member of the German Society for Philosophy (DGPhil) executive board and actively contributes to journals like Philosophy and Social Criticism.
