Anne-Marie Giortz

Anne-Marie Giortz serves as Professor of Music at Kristiania University College within the School of Arts, Design and Media's Department of Music. She specializes in vocal instruction for popular music, songwriting, and production while maintaining an active performance career since 1980 with Trio de Janeiro and the Anne-Marie Giortz trio, having released approximately 20 albums across multiple ensembles.

Her artistic research focuses on Popular Music performance practices, Songwriting techniques, and Music Production methodologies, complemented by extensive experience in Vocal Performance and Composition. She has led ensembles including the Anne-Marie Giortz Quintet, Band, and Trio while contributing significantly to Norway's Musical Theatre landscape through major Oslo venues.

Scientific recognition includes:

• Spellemannsprisen award (1993) with Trio de Janeiro

Professional activities encompass producing "The Acoustic Shadow" performance, presenting NRK Radio music programs, and touring with National Concerts programs across Norwegian stages including Oslo Nye Teater, Den norske Opera, and Det norske Teater.
