About
Anne-Maree Kelly is an Adjunct Professor at the Australian Centre for Health Law Research within QUT's Faculty of Law. An emergency physician and clinical research academic, her health law interests emerged from her experience as a medical expert for coroners and in medical litigation.
Her research focuses on expert medical evidence, health data governance (especially use of health records for research), end-of-life care (particularly Advance Care Directives in emergency departments), and the interface between ethics, health and medicine.
With over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 20 book chapters, she previously co-edited the 'Textbook of Adult Emergency Medicine', the primary textbook in Australian emergency medicine. She has co-supervised 4 PhDs and over 50 student research projects.
