Anne-Line Rodriguez

Dr Anne-Line Rodriguez is a Visiting Fellow at the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa, The London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research focuses on ethnographic analysis of migration governance in West Africa, particularly examining Senegal's urban contexts and transnational mobility regimes.

Dr Rodriguez specializes in the ethnographic study of local interactions within global migration systems, investigating new formations of subjectivity and social practice. Her core research spans migration governance, temporal subjectivities, economic inclusion, and moral economies in West Africa. Grounded in anthropological theory and critical migration studies, her work employs intensive fieldwork methodologies to analyze EU border externalization impacts, livelihood transformations, and post-deportation experiences in Senegalese communities.

Current research examines mobility governance inequalities in urban Senegal, analyzing shifts in labor markets and moral economies.
