Dr. Anne Lidén is a Senior Lecturer in Art, Cultural Heritage, and Museum Studies at Stockholm University's Department of Teaching and Learning. Her research focuses on medieval religious art, pilgrimage heritage, Scandinavian cultural history, and art education. She is affiliated with the Critical Heritage Studies Network (CHSN) at Stockholm University.
Her work explores intersections between art, religion, and cultural heritage with particular attention to Saint Olav iconography, medieval liturgical art, and contemporary heritage tourism. She has conducted extensive studies on Scandinavian pilgrimage routes, medieval altarpieces, and the representation of cultural identity in public monuments.
