About
Anne Hoff is a Researcher and Senior Adviser at the Department of Chemical Engineering, NTNU. She holds a Dr.ing in heterogeneous catalysis from NTH (now NTNU) awarded in 1993. Her career spans 30 years in oil refining research and advisory roles, including 10 years at SINTEF and 19 years at Statoil/Equinor. She has expertise in crude oil upgrading, refining technologies, laboratory pilot plant operations, and safety.
Since 2018, she has been affiliated with NTNU’s Catalysis Group, supporting laboratory activities and managing IKP’s gas storage until 2021. Currently, she coordinates the SFI iCSI Centre and the INTPART-project CATHEX, linking NTNU with global catalysis research hubs (University of Cape Town, East China University of Science and Technology, University of Toronto, and University of Wisconsin-Madison). CATHEX facilitates international exchange programs for students and researchers.
Her research focuses on advancing heterogeneous catalysis through integrated theoretical and experimental approaches, with applications in industrial innovation. She has contributed to conferences such as the 13th Nordic Symposium on Catalysis (2008), and her work bridges academic and industrial sectors.
