About
Anne Co is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Ohio State University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a B.Sc. (1999) and Ph.D. (2005) in Chemistry from the University of Calgary, followed by postdoctoral research at the National Research Council Canada and Harvard University. Her research focuses on electrocatalytic materials for energy storage and conversion, including nanoporous metals for battery electrodes and electrochemical CO2 reduction pathways.
Her work integrates electrochemical, analytical, and materials chemistry techniques to develop efficient energy systems. Current projects include nanoporous metal foams for lithium-ion batteries and catalysts for CO2-to-fuel processes. She has authored influential studies on lithium transport visualization, oxygen reduction reaction mechanisms, and CO2 reduction via electrochemistry.
Dr. Co’s lab emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing challenges in sustainable energy through material innovation. Her contributions bridge fundamental electrochemistry with applied technologies for renewable energy storage and carbon recycling.
