Anna Yang

Anna Yang is an Assistant Professor in Chemistry & Biochemistry at Swarthmore College. She earned her B.S. from UC Berkeley and Ph.D. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, completing postdoctoral training at Northwestern University.

Her research designs functional molecular architectures through:

• Dynamic alkyne metathesis chemistry
• Hierarchical self-assembly of nanotubes
• Stimuli-responsive organic cages
• Conjugated building block design

Recent publications demonstrate applications in environmental remediation, particularly developing cyclodextrin polymers and covalent organic frameworks for PFAS adsorption and contaminant removal, alongside fundamental studies of porous materials.
