Anna Wachowicz

Anna Wachowicz is a Lecturer in the Department of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture and Design. She has been employed since 2009 and holds a PhD. Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing design methodology and its application to unconventional challenges. She collaborates with maradDesign studio on projects spanning packaging, rail vehicles, electronics, furniture, and exhibitions for clients like Oceanic SA, PESA SA, and Leroy Merlin Polska.

Education and Background: Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Professional design career began in 2008. Active in social initiatives such as the Integralia Laboratory, which empowers disabled individuals through Design Thinking methodologies. Notable projects include the interactive exhibition "Łamipuwka" for Gdańsk Fortress Cultural Park and packaging designs for Dr Irena Eris Cosmetics Laboratory.

Research Focus: Advocates for socially responsible design, particularly addressing marginalized groups. Explores innovative applications of design in both traditional and emerging fields.
