Anna Stefaniak

Dr. Anna Stefaniak is an Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University's Department of Psychology (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) and concurrently serves as a Lecturer in Social Psychology at the University of St Andrews (UK). She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw. Her research focuses on intergroup relations, specifically examining methods to reduce intergroup bias, the influence of collective emotions and historical group narratives on contemporary attitudes, and the psychological mechanisms behind intergroup behaviors like hate crimes and collective action. Collaborating with Prof. Wohl, she also investigates how social identities impact health outcomes, particularly addiction recovery. Contact: anna.stefaniak@carleton.ca.
