Dr. Anna Skałba is a Laboratory Assistant at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Linguistics (expected 2025) and holds a Master's degree in English Philology (2020) and a BA in English Philology (2018). Her research focuses on psycholinguistics, bilingualism, mental syntax representation, eye-tracking, syntactic priming, and second/third language acquisition.

Her work investigates cross-linguistic influences in multilingual contexts, particularly examining tense representation (e.g., English present perfect vs. French passé composé), phonological processing, and cognitive consequences of multilingualism. She employs eye-tracking, EEG, and self-paced reading experiments to study structural priming and language processing across Polish-English-French multilinguals.
Key research projects include: "Bidirectional interactions between grammatical gender systems" (2024-2027, PI: Kamil Długosz), "Multibridge" (2024-2025, PI: Magdalena Wrembel), and "Representation of grammatical tenses in the bilingual mind" (PI: herself, 2022-2023). Her teaching experience spans EFL instruction, English grammar, Business English, and Cambridge exam preparation.
