Anna Siefken

Anna Siefken, LEED AP BD+C, is an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. She serves as a Commercialization Executive in the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) at the U.S. Department of Energy, based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Research Focus

Siefken’s recent work centers on creating a “Smart Data Utility” in Pittsburgh through collaboration with the City of Pittsburgh and regional utilities. Her initiatives involve mapping underground infrastructure to improve efficiency and cost-sharing in long-term urban planning. This aligns with her expertise in energy efficiency, sustainability, and smart city innovation.
