Dr. Anna Rogiewicz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. She holds a PhD and MSc in Animal Science from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Poland. Her research focuses on nutritional biochemistry, enzyme technology, and improving feed efficiency for poultry and swine.
Research interests include chemical composition of feed ingredients, development of enzyme supplements, prebiotic properties of yeast bioactives, and utilization of novel canola products. Current projects involve enhancing feed value through enzymes, rapid nutrient analysis tools (NIRS), and alternatives to antibiotics in animal nutrition.
Dr. Rogiewicz teaches courses including NSC 7450/HNSC 7450 (Energy and Carbohydrate Nutrition), ANSC 4550 (Avian Production Systems), and ANSC 0700 (Poultry Production).
