Anna Rantala

Anna Rantala serves as an Associate Professor at the Centre for School Leader Development within Umeå University's Department of Political Science. She holds a doctoral degree in educational work and is recognized as a Distinguished University Teacher.

Her research examines norms, values, and ethical dimensions in educational leadership, with particular emphasis on preschool settings. Current projects investigate how school principals navigate controversial issues and translate knowledge into effective leadership practices.

Rantala contributes to the Principal's Program and provides supervision for school leaders. Her publications focus on self-assessment of leadership actions and the development of leadership capabilities in educational contexts.
