Anna Preus is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of Washington, College of Arts & Sciences. She leads the Humanities Data Lab and co-leads the AI, Creativity, and Humanities Research Cluster. Additionally, she is core faculty in the Textual and Digital Studies program and a Data Science Fellow at the eScience Institute.

Her research explores early 20th-century literature, digital humanities methodologies, and the intersection of postcolonial studies with textual analysis. She investigates how historical print materials are digitized and the role of digital resources in reshaping narratives of literary history. Key interests include colonial authorship in British literature, modernist poetry, and the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) to poetry generation and evaluation.
