Anna Pallin is a Researcher and doctoral student at the Department of Applied Educational Sciences, Umeå University, focusing on educational work and youth career development. Her research examines how geographical and social location influence career transitions, particularly for upper secondary school students preparing for higher education and the workforce.
Her dissertation project, Young people’s career learning online (since 2020), includes sub-studies on digital spaces for career learning and institutional support for student transitions. She also teaches in the Study and Career Counseling Program, emphasizing digital guidance and conversational methodologies.
Anna is affiliated with the Graduate School in Educational Science (FU) at the University of Teacher Education and the FinnFram graduate school. Her publications address social inequalities in rural youth career learning and the interplay of online-offline environments. She is a member of the Education Policy and Youth Transitions Research Group and works from Umeå University’s Natural Science Building.
