Anna Muller holds the Frank and Mary Padzieski Endowed Professorship in Polish/Polish American/Eastern European Studies and serves as an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She is affiliated with multiple institutes, including the Center for Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies (CREES), the Copernicus Center for Polish Studies (CCPS), and the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia (WCEE). Her research focuses on modern Central and Eastern European history, cultural history, gender studies in the Soviet context, and the historical analysis of Nazi and Soviet penal systems.
Education:
- M.A. and B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Gdańsk, Poland (1999)
- Diploma in International History and Politics from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland
- Ph.D. in History from Indiana University (2010)
